about the 2011 Morrison County Relay for Life experience
here. Team
Bookin' It raised nearly $9000 again this year (2011).
Our
Bookin' It team raised more than $13,000 IN 2009 - $3,000
more than we raised in 2008. This
earned us a Platinum Team award, ranking #2 among all
the teams. In 2010, our Relay Team raised over $9,000
dollars and was the top fndraising team in Morrison
County earning us a Gold Team designation. Once again,
we thank the many friends, family, and bookstore customers
that helped us reach our goal!

YOU DECIDE!
Have you heard about the National Book Awards
screw-up? A book titled Shine by Lauren
Myracle was announced as a nominee (young adult
fiction) but it turns out the book actually
nominated was Chime by Franny Billingsley.
They both sound terrific so, we thought we'd
have a bit of fun with that and offer a Young
Adult or Mother-Daughter Book club in January
and February featuring the two books and ending
with our own voting and awards night! Sign up
by calling Laura at the store at 320-632-1848.

Customer
review spotlight:
Midnight
Rising by Tony Horwitz
A meticulously researched history that well
documents John Brown's Oct. 17, 1859, raid on
Harpers Ferry. Horwitz accurately details Brown's
life and family in relation to his abolitionist
activities which the author correctly analyzes
as the catalyst towards fomenting the Civil
War. You can't put this one down.
